Follow the Hunter as he goes on a mission for the Vanguard for a covert ops on the dusty, sandy planet of Mars, searching for a turncoat cabal that has vital information about the current, secretive projects that the cabal has been up to.

They have already revealed that they have begun unearthing a couple of ancient, golden age relics that have gained the interest of the Tower and the Vanguard officials, including Zavala and Ikora Rey, who dispatched him almost as soon as they heard the news. Worried that it was most certainly a trap, they also cautioned the Hunter before he left, warning him of the possible ambush that was likely to happen in the sandy ruins of Freehold.

After a harrowing experience getting to the martian planet, the Hunter finds himself stranded. With his ship crashed, he still trudges on, searching for the answers he seeks and hopefully finding a way off the hot, sandy planet as well before time runs out.
